Suan Mokkh: The Garden of Liberation

Here I am as a baby monk with beloved Teacher (left), revered Preceptor (right), and their good friend Boonchuan (a poet & senior administrator):
together they were known as the "Three Southern Tigers" for the way they shook up Thai Buddhism after sharing the Vassa together in 1934 at Suan Mokkh.

This photo was taken on Ajarn Buddhadasa's 80th Age Teasing Day (27 May 1986). I was a skinny one year monk then. I lived at Suan Mokkh through 1999 and returned to the USA in 2000.
