This year's Dhammayatra has gone wonderfully. I'm just back from a short stint towards the end of the walk -- if you are curious why I didn't walk further, click here -- and have a few photos to share. Reports and more images will be added as others return and contribute their perspectives.
Most
of the areas we passed through are rural and rubber the main crop. Sometimes the
road was paved, but as much as possible we followed back roads: laterite or
gravel.
Various
group activities helped build community spirit among the walkers and with the
villages we visited.
Trees
were planted in Wats and villages that wanted them. If they are cared for, they
will grow into tangible expressions of the connections developed through the
walk. (Many of the seedlings came from the forests of Dawn Kiam and Suan Mokkh.)
